The Long Island Region of the New York State Small Scale Food Processors will meet at the Stony Brook University Incubator in Calverton, NY, on Tuesday, February 22, 2005. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the possibility of a potential venue at this facility for a shared commercial kitchen, and to tour the site. We will be the guests of Monique Gablenz, Executive Director, Riverhead Industrial Development Agency, who has been responsible for developing the current Aquaculture Incubator. If there is enough interest among Long Island processors to build and operate an incubator kitchen, Ms. Gablenz would manage the project.

It is important for all of us to attend this meeting, as the project is entailed upon our participation. The meeting will be held at 2:00

We will also be briefly discussing the possibility of a Long Island Food Fair, to see if this is something of interest to all. We would be approaching the dairy, shellfish and wine councils for a joint endeavor, if this becomes a viable project.

Please let me know if you will be attending the meeting, either by phone or email.

Best regards,

Joan Bernstein
